I have mild-moderate gyne, and I've noticed that it's at its most noticeable sitting down with my shoulders forward, less noticeable standing up, and least noticeable laying down.  Does that affect how easy it is to find and remove the gland tissue during surgery at all?

I think thats how it is in most cases, so it shouldn't.

During surgery, the doctor can elevate the back of the table to put you into a quasi-sitting position to see how it looks - that's what my surgeon does.

I was sat down with shoulders forward, doctor then drew using a marker on my chest like I was his artwork and then told me to lay down and performed the op ... easy peasy lemon squeezy.
