My incisions were made in my armpits, which are pretty hairy.  Because of this I'm unable to see how much my scars are sealed / healed for fear of lifting my arms too high and hurting the stitches.

About how long do you guys think it takes for the incisions to heal up pretty well so that they can be stretched for lifting my arms to shower properly, put on Tshirts, etc?

Mine are sealed up pretty well at 3 weeks post. I'm not lifting my arms straight up yet just in case...but by week 5 or so it should be OK.

I don't think you want sun exposure until around 6 months... the test is when the scards are no longer pink. If you tan them while they are still pink you will have permanent discoloration on them. That is not a good thing for a scar that is supposed to be secret and "hidden" at the base of the areola.
