Welcome to the forum! You're no stranger here

If I were you I would seek out an experienced plastic surgeon who specializes in gynecomastia surgery.  I would think you would benefit best from excision and lipo.   In the meantime if you aren't already wearing compression garments you might want to look into that.

Cheers

I agree.

The first plastic surgeon I talked to "assured" me that he could do everything with just lipo - but he hadn't even examined me.

Then I got on the internet and found a surgeon who specializes in gyno - He showed me - and let me feel just where the dense glandular tissue was in my breasts.  After he showed me how to feel for this stuff there was no question in my mind that mere lipo could get rid of the problem.  In fact, if only lipo were performed the cosmetic result could be like two tennis balls hanging in an empty sack>

Find a surgeon in your area who specializes in gyno!

I am only 6 weeks past surgery and I know that it will be at least 6 months before we can see the final result, but I think that I made the right choice.  My only fear now is whether or not they will come back.

Thank you so much srnd2012 and chicago cop for the replies. I have approached a few surgeons in my city and sent them the pics and asked for a feedback. Will surely share it here as i get them. I had approached a surgeon about a year and a half ago and he advised Lipo+Excision+skin tightening all in a single surgery. The surgeon is pretty experienced and famous (this is what i have learnt from this forum and lot of people on this forum have had their surgeries done from him). But there are few who arent happy with the surgery results. so im a bit confused whether which surgeon to choose. Thats why i thought of firstly gaining knowledge of the entire stuff and then go ahead. Secondly, what do you guys think about working out and bodybuilding after the surgery. Will it help gaining chest muscle and making it look more natural and overcome crater deformity(if caused)??

You appear to be a bit overweight and to have gynecomastia.

Recommend visiting or contacting several gyne specialists.  In most cases, a combination of both lipo and excision (both with minimal scars) should suffice for you.  At your age, your skin should be able to spontaneously tighten so that you would not require skin excision.

I use skin excision only rarely -- only in those cases where I have strong doubts about the skin's ability to tighten.

My philosophy:  most guys want to rid themselves of gyne but not substitute major scars on their chest.  Therefore I try to get the very best possible result with the most minimum of scars.  If there is any possibility of lax tissue after six months, then a second procedure might be considered, but the scars would be much less because the skin would have tightened and therefore there would be less excess skin to deal with and hence smaller scars.
