I am 3 weeks post-op and I'm wondering if massaging this early is ok and safe? I've had lipo only and I'm in no pain at all -- my chest is a bit numb but I can move my arms any directions with no problem.

I have a spa appointment tomorrow for a 1 hour massage and I'm wondering if I should report it or not.

Thanks!

Would love to have opinions on post-op massage!
Anyone?

Three weeks is too early to begin massage -- it would probably produce more swelling.

If you are having a professional massage, just have them avoid your chest.

Massage, if used at all, is done to help firm areas of tissue soften up -- and this is done (obviously recommended by the surgeon) usually at 6-8 weeks after surgery.
