DON'T do flat bench presses or dips that will push out the gland and make it look worse

Do these exercises

incline flyes
incline dumbell/ barbell press
behind the neck shoulder press
rear delt raises

to combat the gyno. I wanted to try and lose some weight and try and add some muscle to my chest and see if it makes any difference.  I plan to have the surgery in about 6-7 months

Well, exercise is always a good thing.... However, unfortunately, no amount of exercise will rid you of the curse that is called Gynecomastia...

Best of luck though... ;)

If one only has puffy nipples and very little gyno, do these chest like .. incline flyes, incline dumbell/ barbell press, behind the neck shoulder press, rear delt raises... help minimise puffy nipples? or make them worse?

Before my surgery I worked my ass off work for two years. I reached a stage where 90% of my problem became only puffy nipples. I started where I had Fat + Gland + Puffy Nipples, and each equally contributed to ugliness of chest contour. Don't have very high expectations from exercise only, you definitely wont be able to go shirtless even however hard you try in gym, ultimately you will need to go under knife.
Having said that, I can assure you from my experience and couple of whom I have known personally, if you are able to build good pectorals and overall good physique with low body fat % your surgery result will definitely improve as surgeon can more focus on contouring and will have not to work very much about fat distribution. Also, exercise will help you get back on to your feet post surgery. I started taking 5K walks from 3rd day of my surgery and today I am almost three weeks post op and have already started to go to gym and do stationery bike and elliptical for 1 hr effortlessly.

My schedule for 18 months pre-op was one body party each day. After every 6 weeks I used to do one week of only compound movements like Clean and Jerk, Squats and Flat Bench to increase strength.

My Chest work out consist of -
4 sets of pushups (50,50,40,40)
4 sets of flat bench/Decline bench press(Alternating weekly)
4 Sets of Incline bench press
3 Sets of Dumble Flys
3 Sets of Pullovers
2 Sets of Dips to failure
2 set of pushup to failure
