Hammer is right. Having breasts or wearing a bra is really not that big of a deal. Women do it all the time.
I ended up with cancer about 5 years ago. I had a thyroidectomy. As a result, I went from a 38DD to a 36H now, and that's with losing 40 lbs.
I just wear my bra everyday. I'm comfortable and I just go about my business.

You mentioned that having a thyroidectomy triggered additional growth in your breast size.  How are they related?  I developed breasts as a teenager and my breast size was stable for many years.  I did experience some additional growth during treatment of prostate cancer with hormone suppression therapy.  I had my thyroid removed about 10 years ago and began experiencing additional growth about 4 years ago.  My doctors including the endo made no reference to the removal of the thyroid as a cause.

Welcome, Felix.  So great that your wife suggested you wear a bra.  I agree a sports bra is great for physical activities, but you will want other bras suitable for the other parts of your day.  Try to have fun building up your bra collection.
