So yeah, I was just wondering how soon can you resume daily activities, also how soon after can you start working out. Now I am getting ready to schedule for surgery, my mom/dad are trying to be extra precautious, she wants me to wait until this semester is over which is in two months. Quite frankly if my surgeon said I could do it right now I would. I have waiting so long for this, glad I am getting this done before  I turn 20 in july.

Everyones different ... you might be alright to do everything the following day.

Just wait and see, either way, you'll be okay!  8)

Most of my patients are up and around the very next day -- doing sedentary type activities.  In fact, I insist that they not linger in bed!  The only restriction is to avoid strenuous physical activities which can make you sweat and increase your heartbeat -- this can increase your risk of post-operative bleeding.

Aerobic and strength training exercises, however, should be deferred for about 3-4 weeks after surgery.
