I did some research and most plastic surgeons in Malaysia do gynaecomastia surgeries.  Malaysia is an up and coming medical tourism country.  The majority of surgeons being in the big city of Kuala Lumpur, but I'm sure there are many others elsewhere.  Would also like to know of prices.  Anybody?

Hi,

I'm from Malaysia, and I've had Gyne for as long as I can remember. I'm seriously considering having an op to gain my self confidence back.

I've done research for ops in Malaysia, but the only hospital that I've come across is the Penang Adventist Hospital. http://www.pah.com.my/specialties/plastic_&_reconstructive_surgery/male_body.asp

I'm not convinced about the how good Malaysian surgeons are and I've thought about having it done in S'pore or Aust.

Anyone here care to help me out with the cost or recommedations of other surgeons in M'sia?

What about Thailand?  It's supposed to be even cheaper than Malaysia, but I have no idea of how the surgical quality compares from one country to another.

Anyone overseas wanting to do the procedure here in Malaysia should check out this website.

http://www.beautiful-holidays.com/

Brahms, I'm not too sure about Thailand. It's probably cheaper then Malaysia, but i'm not too sure about it in terms of quality. My immediate thoughts would be to choose Malaysia over Thailand. No disrespect to any Thais... I absolutely love your country, but it's just that I think Malaysia's a little ahead in terms of technology.

I'm still saving up for my procedure. Apparently it's gonna cost me a minimum of RM5000.00.

In the mean time, I've been trying to rectify the issue by loosing weight. I was 30kgs overweight. But I've so far lost 11kg in 1 1/2 months. The miracle of low carb dieting and exercising 4 times a week.

I'll keep you guys posted if i find out anything else interesting.

Hi everyone,

I just want to let the Malaysians here know that gynecomastia surgery is also carried out at "Loh Guan Lye" hospital in Penang. I know this because I saw the info on their website, and I know they are reputable specialists because people from overseas are going there for other types of cosmetic surgeries.

I've tried emailing them for more info but the email doesn't seem to be working... so if anyone else who has undergone gyno surgery there, could you please share your experience with the rest of us and let us know how much it costs? Thanks in advance.

Here are the hospital particulars:

19 & 21, Logan Road,10400 Penang, Malaysia.
Tel:(604)238 8888  Fax:(604)229 0287
Email: lsc@lohguanlyle.com

i checked the beautiful holidays website and I checked out the info on gyno, which is below.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The chest/ Breast

Male Breast / Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is a medical term that comes from the Greek words for "women-like breasts." Though this oddly named condition is rarely talked about, it's actually quite common. Gynecomastia affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men. It may affect only one breast or both.

The procedure

The procedure removes fat and or glandular tissue from the breasts, and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a chest that is flatter, firmer, and better contoured. The operation can be done under general or under local anesthesia.

The complaints from previous clients before this procedure

Breast over development.

Duration of operation
2 hours

Ideal age
30+

Length of stay in hospital
1 night

Holiday required
2 weeks

Length of time results last
Years
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i'm 19 yrs old...so will they allow this kind of surgery? and also 1 more question (Length of time results last : Years)..does this mean it will come back and i have to repeat the surgery?

sry for botherin u guys wit these questions...i just really wanna get this over with n get on wit living a normal life.

Im an English Expat here in Penang

Im going to get surgery done as Adventist as i hope my insurance will cover it.

I am doing it with Doctor Danny Oh who claim to have done at least 100 of these surgeries.

Although that is not a huge amount he has been a plastic surgeon for  20 + years and is certified by the American Board of Plastic surgeons having worked there for 10 years.

I hope it all goes well and the price is 4500 Rm plus meds

I will update with pics if anyone is interested.

ideally the results should last forever. but I heard some stories that it could recur back if you have some hormonal issues.
