Hello everyone,
Got my gyn surgery 1 month back...i can see significant change and am feeling gud about it. No pain and minor swelling is observed. I Havent hit gym yet!!
However 1 thing is bothering me a lot...about the dissolvable stiches across my aerola. My doc said it wud take 4 weeks for stiches to disappear ...however i see that recently i find small tensile theads on my chest area...i think they are stich threads!!!!
My concern is shoudnt these stiches shud get dissolved??  Does bathing with hot water effect these stiches in a wrong way???
Please guys need your experiences and suggestions , wud help a lot ....thanks

Best to go back to your surgeon -- he knows what stitches were used.

On occasion, a dissolving suture just decides to be stubborn and hang on a bit longer.  If that's true in your case, the surgeon should be able to snip it and remove it.

Don't pull on it yourself -- you may cause bleeding or even a separation of the wound!

In general, the temperature of the bath water has no effect on healing.  Obviously, if the water is too hot it may cause a burn, which is not what you need when healing from surgery.
