I am 17 years old and have had a minor case of gyne since I was .... probably around 13 or 14. Is surgery my only option? I have researched a little bit on gyne and many sources say that gyne is a normal part of puberty for 60% of all males and it goes away for 90% of them after 3 years since first hitting puberty. I wasn't one of those kids that hit puberty at around 13-14. Probably a year or two later for me. Im a late bloomer :). Plz give me some opinions and suggestions. Should I wait for a little more and hope they magically disappear? or should i start looking for other possible options including surgery?

I'm 21 and mine never went away. I don't  think they will. Might reduce a little bit for 2 years like mine did but they never completely went away.

Yeah, if you can wait a few more years that would be best. Wait till you are 20. If it isn't gone by then, you'll need surgery.
