Hello,
Quick question for the doctors: I often see ketoconazole listed as a drug that causes gynecomastia. Is this referring to the pill specifically, or can topical use of it (ie, Nizoral shampoo) cause gynecomastia?

I do not have any experience with topical ketoconazole resulting in gynecomastia.Topical use result in far less absorption than oral intake. For topical use to result in gynecomastia you would need to be quite sensitive to the drug.

I have never heard of gynecomastia related to Nizoral shampoo or topical Ketoconazole.
