Hi Doctors,
I'm a male, 30 yrs, 5'10", weighing 100kgs (overweight by quite a bit)
I had my gynecomastia surgery done yesterday, but I'm having an issue with frequently wanting to urinate during the night, because of which I cannot sleep properly. They had to cut the gland (as they normally do in gynecomastia) and did liposuction of the chest area along with the stomach and flanks. Firstly, I'm not sure if the pressure garments are of the right size as the area around the arms is very tight affecting the blood circulation to my fingers making it num
Around 8 liters of fat was removed

The problem with the urination is that the pressure is pretty low, taking me around 2 mins to complete what I would have done in a few seconds earlier I haven't tried urinating with the pressure garments off, but is this normal?

I'm attaching pics of the discoloration of the area around the pressure garments. When I told the doctor that I may need a bigger size, they said that the tighter it is , the better it will be

thanks for that, does the compression garment look ok? Because its really tight on the arms causing that discoloration as posted in the pic....and there are 2 compression garments, one is for the chest and the other is strap around the stomach. I'm having some discomfort when trying to get up from a chair or from bed and need someone to help me a bit.......I can walk fine

I just asked my doctor that and he said that it may not be due to the garment but may be a common thing to see after the surgery.

One more question if you don't mind- I've got a really bad sore throat after the surgery.....some say its due to the anaeshesia.....just need a confirmation

First call your doctor. Second 8 litres of fat is a large amount. If you had general anesthesia due to the large volume of fat removed and/ or had a catheter placed to monitor urination or the use of one of several anesthetic agents urinary retention either complete or partial may occur.
