  • Gyne be gone
I've had a tummy tuck surgery done and I can hardly say I felt any pain. The only thing I remember being bad was when the nurse "inserted" the thing where your sleeping medicine is put in and so on.. (Don't know how to say that in English :-). The thing that's connected to your blood stream for some time, you know! :)

I'm having another surgery on 10th of June where my gyne will, hopefully, be fixed. I'll have lipo & excision, and ALSO have some lipo done on my hips.

So back to my question, what was the most pain you felt in your surgery..?

"IV catheter" is probably what you were looking for.

In my case I had serious pain in the lipo area just minutes after they woke me up.  One shot of demerol and I was A-OK from that moment on.  Sore afterwards, but never real pain.  Still, that didn't stop me from enjoying the pleasures of vicodin.

No real pain, honestly. I was pretty shocked at how little pain(none) I've had afterwards and up to this point(5 days post op). Leaves me with a whole bottle of Lortab to use.... *cough*

I felt a little sore and the vest was itchy, but that's normal.

I first read, "Getting the brains removed".  ;D

Yeah, when they removed the drains. Not so much painful per  se, just annoying. I could easily feel them yanking them out and then hear slight "blob" when they came off. I also felt some fluids running down my side. Urgh.

After the surgery I had some slight pain for the next two hours. After that no pain really.
Surgery on 11th of May. *gulp*

Paying for it!

No seriously, one of the drains stung like hell, and I could feel the path it came out of burning for about 2 days afterwards (but only vaguely through the co-codamol). Didn't notice the second, but I was still smarting from the first one.

It wasn't enough to make me cry though. Unlike the bill!  ;D

Based on the fact that the pain was relatively minimal would it be unrealistic to return to work within 3 days....ie: surgery friday, work monday?

if everything goes jake then this should be possible, as long as you have an office type job.

  • Gyne sucks
My surgery was surprisingly painless. I was barley sore afterward also.
Please, Jesus, make my gyne go away!
