Going for surgery within the month and guess I will be sick for a while - my dilemma is what do I tell my employers (Public Sector). They will want something that I have gone sick with and I will not tell anyone at work what has happened. Anyone able to suggest what the GP may put on the sick note please? ta

tell your GP that you are having gland excision/lipo, and you need a few weeks to recover (id bet youd get 3 weeks i did). They will put on your sick note "Recovery after surgery". Depends on the GP if you have a half decent one they shouldnt bat an eyelid

go to your employer, say youre having your wisdom teeth removed and hand them that sick note. Theyve got no way of finding out due to data protection act.
