Have been conscious about my chest since I was a kid. For the most part, I have been overweight for most of my life as well. I've started weight lifting and working on a better diet, but I think this might be more than fat. I had a cousin (not overweight) recently go through the surgery so it might run in the family. So, am I a good candidate for surgery?

You appear to be a bit overweight and have some excess tissue on your chest.  Losing weight with a combination of diet and exercise could help.  Will it reduce your gyne to acceptable contours?  Can't say -- it will be up to you to decide once you have lost the weight.

I know that no amount of weightlifting, diet monitoring or exercise improved the rather large fat deposits I had on my chest to any great degree. It seems with a lot of guys that the fat in your chest is some of the most stubborn. Not sure why that is, but that was the case for me. Surgery was the only practical recourse.
