Hey folks; bit of an off-the-wall one here.  I am experiencing a lingering complication that is more surgery related, than specifically gyno.  Immediately after surgery, I had pretty significant bruise on my mid-forearm in the arm that the IV was inserted into.  The large bruising went away, but there is a section of the vein, about one inch long that never lost the bruising and it has since hardened, feels like scar tissue.  This is now 3+ months post-op, and it still exists, only now I am starting to experience numbness further up my forearm and into my elbow.  So ya, I am heading to the doctor this week.  Just thought I would post a topic and see if anyone has any insight into what this may be.

Cheers!

You probably had a clot in the small segment of the vein -- nothing to worry about -- it will gradually soften and disappear. It will not cause any long term problem.

I don't know what is causing the numbness, however -- suggest you consult with your surgeon.
