Having worn a bra for a few years now and got used to adjusting, donning and wearing this so called 'womens' apparel, I find myself increasingly irritated, when out in public or socialising  by members of the fair sex constantly fiddling with bra straps that have slipped.
One time of day I subconsciously accepted this as necessary and normal. I now know better.
Are you afflicted by this behaviour? Does it irritate you? Or, at risk of setting myself up to pilloried, have I just made another step in becoming a grumpy old mam?

Slipping bra straps are a big irritation to wearing a bra. It takes something that one has become so normalized with that one forgets they are wearing a bra, too something that is constantly reminding them in a negative way.

But of course this is a sign that the bra is not fitting or adjusted right. I have bras that never needed adjustment, well others have taken longer to find the right strap length and band snugness to keep everything in place and feel more invisible. Some just never do fit right like you thought they did when they were first purchased; a quick try on in the store does not always reveal how things work out after a few hours.
If the bra fits, wear it.

80% of all women wear the wrong size bra. I see it all the time now that I know what a proper fitting bra should look and feel like. And it bugs the crap out of me. I just want to go up to the poor lady and ask her if she needs someone to help her find a bra that fits. This looks ridiculous. Of course I don't because she wouldn't have a clue I would know more about her bra than she does. It ain't rocket science you know!

I have some racerback bras that completely eliminate the strap problem.  They usually come in a front closure, but there are convertible bras that can be used conventionally or racerback (crossed strapped in back)

Yes.  Do you also get irritated when you see guys that wear their pants below their waists and have to grab them if to try to move faster than a waddle?  Welcome to the club.

I try not to tug at my bra straps or band. If I have to, I'll do it in the rest room. I get gitted professionally for most of my bras so the fit is usually spot on and a well fitted bra usually doesn't require much adjustment.

I have to adjust my straps occasionally.  I don’t mind adjusting my straps in front of people, but I usually do it in private.

Oh absolutely. If I need to adjust the strap that slipped or if my band is in the wrong spot, I  will. Women do it and its widely accepted. I  will try and excuse myself and take care of it in the rest room..its not like my boobs or my bra are a closely guarded secret.  Lol

If the straps is consistently sliding off my shoulders, then its annoying. But if its only occurs occasionally, then I don't mind and gotten used to it and fix my straps privately when I have the chance.
