I have a bunch of work travel around 2nd week of october to places like san diego and orlando. What is the chance of being done with scars and bruising by that time and going shirtless? I had the surgery July 27th.  This time I really hope to spend as much time possible in or near water without any gyne-hiding paraphernalia ...I have visited and not been able to enjoy a ton of beaches in like a dozen countries due to this stupid gyne.

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
What FBI said, and...
If you do go outside in the sun shirtless, then make sure to use plenty of sunscreen on your incision areas.  Scars will turn dark fast, and it's for a very long time.  I used SPF 70 on my scars and was out in the sun a lot with no problem.  I've read that there's not much difference in protection between SPF 30 and SPF 50, but anything below 30 is not much protection.
