  • Gyne removed surgically March 2010
i have a mild case of gyno too i think. been checking around and velthuis kliniek seemed to be able to do it.

http://www.velthuiskliniek.nl/Ook_voor_mannen/Meer/Borstvorming.html

i don;t know if they are experienced to do gyno operations but they seemed to be one of the most respected surgeons in the netherlands.

i'm thinking of first seeing my house doctor and mayb even save up to have the surgery done in the US or UK if i am diagnosed with gyno.

Hi regularguy -

You could also try Medisch Centrum Jan van Goyen in Amsterdam.

http://www.medischcentrumjanvangoyen.nl/

Their Dr. Van Selms is reportedly very experienced in gynaecomastia, but I don't have any personal experience (yet). According to their price list, the operation costs EUR 2250.

B.

PS I notice one of the surgeons at the Velthuis Kliniek is called Herm van breasts - how appropriate!
Edit: no he's not, but this forum automatically corrects the t--s word lest it cause offence. I wonder if Dr van Breasts has this problem a lot!! ;D

(kan je toevallig Nederlands?)
Dr. Timmenga did my surgery,  I havent yet see the results, but everything went really well!
You can read my story here:  http://www.gynecomastia.org/smf/index.php?topic=14623.0
Everything is paid by the basis zorgverzerking :P

I am going tomorrow to Medisch Centrum Jan van Goyen in Amsterdam for an appointment. Have got 4-5 cm glandular tissue since puberty, now 34, with all psychological consequences every summer as a result.

Keep you guys updated.

As mentioned I went to Jan van Goyen on June 30. Had an appointment with Dr. Tan. From our consult I did get the impression he is knowledgeable about the subject.

Also you can run this through your insurance with help of Jan van Goyen clinic, but it will be a long track. I decided not to go down that track and wanted surgery asap. It was possible the next day! I did it!

Had surgery on July 1st. It went pretty smooth. Now it is almost 4 days after surgery and I cried when taking of the bandage looking at the result. It is perfect. Only a bit concerned about the scars, but convinced it will smooth out after some period.

FYI, after surgery I have order the 640 compression vest from http://www.compressiekleding.nl/, using 3 times a day drops from A. Vogel Arnica D6 (get from drogisterij(, and Movicox 7.5 mg 2x a day prescribed by clinic.

I'll keep this post updated. Contact me if you are from the Netherlands and are looking for somebody to talk about this issue. I have been insecure about it for a long time and would not hessitate if I can help somebody in the same situation.
