Hello everybody,

I'll try to keep this short but keep the nescescary information in, if you feel like anything's missing then please ask.

It's been 4, or 5, years since i developed puffy nipples, as you can imagine i'm quite insecure about it and try to hide them as much as i can.

Now, there's something else with mine, they're quite sensitive, they can be either really puffy, or really erect and each cause just as much discomfort because when they're erect they poke out very far, also. This can happen when I take my t shirt off, but really it's completely random, I have no control over them as I'm sure you can imagine. I've had them checked out and I was told that I had gynecomastia and it should go by the time I am 18. Well I've been 18 for 6 months and if anything, it's getting worse. At the time they developed I was around 8/9 stone? I'm now 11 stone (recently, was 10 stone around this time last year). Last time I checked I had a low level of body fat and I haven't gained much fat recently.

I went and got them checked again by a new doctor this time and I explained to him that if I squeeze them I have a small amount of greenish discharge, also that I had a few different lumps around the area. He said they seemed normal to him (they became erect...and with a t shirt off, looking face on, it doesn't look AS pokey) but he still sent for me to get my hormone levels checked.

I went to see him again regarding the results of the hormone levels and he didn't say anything about the results other than they were "normal". He took another look and checked the area and said it felt like muscle strands, and kept on asking me if i had been going to the gym and do i run alot, i told him i havent been exercising as much but on each visit it seems to be those questions he asks.

I went for a final time a few weeks ago because I felt a large lump develop this time and it's quite painful, he said that he didn't think much of it and brought up that I have been there several times regarding the issue and he sees nothing wrong, but the thing is they always seem to go erect when i show him, they look "normal"...i'm not sure what it is (nerves of taking my t shirt off, maybe?). He suggested nipple tape for the nipples, I told him that i wear vests but they still poke through a lot and don't really do anything other than make me hot, he said not to do that and to wear the tape. I said that it's only a short term fix and it wouldn't help me do the things that I wanted to do, like take my t shirt off when i go to the pool, etc. He said that I wasn't really opening up for suggestions. It was left there and he said he would refer me to the breast specialist regarding the lump. It's been a couple of weeks and I haven't recieved a letter like he said I would...

I couldn't find any nipple tape about but i did find some soft tape, that doesn't cut, it's quite smooth and it seems to kind of work (i think it's surgical tape), they are around 25% puffy still but you can't really notice it if im honest, you'd have to inspect the area. The only problem being that sometimes you can see the outline of the tape. I've only done this twice and I can't help but get attached to this tape. I'm actually worried about going a day without it now. Still, I'm unable to do fully what I want but it's better than before.

I remember the doctor saying, do you know of any treatments for this and I just sat there with a blank face because I didn't want to suggest surgery, keeping in mind that he saw my erect nipples, never seeing them when puffy so there's no way he would agree to it.

I was just curious as to what my options are really and what, in a doctors or surgeons opinion, that I should do?

Many thank you's

Green nipple discharge is not normal and may need to be investigated.  Here is a  movie of black / green nipple discharge in a man. Check out the greenish color on the sponge. That was probably rare male ductal ectasia.  Infection pus can also be green.

Taping Nipples is a terrible idea.  I have seen horrible pigmentation scars from such techniques that can be permanent.

No Surgery Male Chest Body Shaping Garments, when they are the right type, can be very effective.  Check out the many examples with and without garments.  Not all garment work the same.

Video and Movies of these compression garments demonstrate how tissues move.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for the reply.

I am curious, have you actually seen (in many cases, or any at all) the complete removal of puffy nipples and roughly how long did this take? Am I misunderstanding and would have the wear this permanantly and it wouldn't fix the problem?

In those videos there are a lot of discharge, I don't have that much and the doctor asked how frequently I squeeze to see if it comes out, I told him 1 month and he seemed more interested. I did actually take penicillin antibiotics for this and when I squeeze a lot less comes out since i took them, but every now and then I can get a noticeable amount, but still...no where near that amount.

Others are welcomed to post.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Garments do not fix the problem, but can be a valuable emotional band-aide.

You can find many examples of Puffy Nipple Gynecomastia here.
