I'm 15, I am 5'10" and only 165 pounds, yet I have gynecomastia. I don't even know what kickstarted it.

It all started when I was 14. I noticed my nipples became larger, and I saw the difference especially when I would invite my pals over to swim in my pool. My nipples were so much larger, and a while after, my breasts started to grow. I had to cope with a year an a half of pure hell. My breasts were larger than all the girls at my school, and I was frequently teased for it. Girls would come to be and ask me if we could trade boobs, and boys would beat the hell out of me because I was "feminine".

Now, I am probably close to a B-cup. I'm in Grade 10 and I stopped being teased because I changed schools and I dress in a suit to avoid getting seen. I can't speak to others due to constant rejection. I'm extremely cold, sarcastic, and lonely.

Canada's health-care sucks. I waited for a year to get them removed. The first surgeon went into paid breaks for sickness and forgot to tell everyone. Result : I was waiting 6 months for nothing! The next surgeon sent me to see an endocrynologist, who concluded that the surgeon should wait for puberty to finish before removing them. I returned to see the specialist and complained about my life, which made her change her mind and she gave the OK for the operation. Go me.

I'm going to see my surgeon on September 13, and I'm going to tell him that if he doesn't operate me in two weeks time, I'm killing myself so he will pass me as an emergency case. This is unsubstainable. I waited a year to get those things slashed, and I want them to be gone right now, so I can get on with my life and start anew, and finally know love and all those things I'm missing on.

I can't wait to be able to wear a simple T-shirt in public.

bro really hope u come into this with realistic expectations

and realize people are idiots and tease others for anything

it's mostly immature assholes are insecure with themselves to begin with.

surely you must know that everyone has been teased over some phystical attribute at one point of thier life.

just be strong and realize it's just gland tissue in your breast.  that's it.

it's not the end of the world.

I don't even think about suiciding. I want to say it so I can pass faster.

I really really can't wait until I can wear a simple shirt like everyone.

Personally I would not mention the suicide thing to the PS ,reason is they may think you are too mentaly unbalanced to have it.

Surgery could change you rlife for the better but you may not get the result you want first time round ,also there are albeit rarely, bodges and they may think you would react worse than others.

If i were you, really go into how it is afffecting your life say what you have said on this site if you haven't already.Even get some tears going if you think that will help. ;).Believe me I have a bit of a 'history 'with  body image and they was very reluctant to even consider me due to this. Iam still waiting, I think partly due to this.

As for the teasing well,  there are idiots in every school and if it wasn't the Gyne they could pick on something else. I got picked on at school and it did not stop until I thumped the biggest one. Not that I am advising you to do that of course. ;DKeep your chin up.

u know i hate to say it.

but i'm 19 and from my expierience in h/s.

people do not tend to tease others expressly for physical attributes.

it's always kids with poor social skills and big mouths who start getting teased.   Honestly, never have i expierienced teasing just based on some kids physical attributes that keeps quite/to himself and is a nice kid in general.

i hate to play mr psychology here.

but i am going to guess u might have maybe poor self -esteem/ poor social skills and this is contributing a lot more to your teasing than the gyno itself.

hell there were tons of kids with moobs who didn't have anyone teasing them in my school

Outside this gyne, my self-esteem is great(to the point of being arrogant).

My condition is making me reluctant to approach others, so I never talk to anybody myself. But if someone does approach me, I'll reply nicely and be pleasant in general.

I'm not a bad person, but people are too occupied teasing me to discover the real me.

I got teased in school, too.  I found that by beating the snot out of just one of my antagonizers nobody bothered me again!

It worked for me!

You have a terrific attitude.  You could have lots of other health issues to deal with that aren't nearly so benign.  I've got a full B cup pair and I'm not even considering surgery.  I can think of much better ways to spend $8000 than having someone carve on my chest.

That said, we each have our own paths to follow.  I came to this board to find practical suggestions for living with the condition.  Unfortunately there aren't many here.  But, anyone who wants practical advise, like where to get odd size bras cheap, or how to make your breasts less noticable, I've a lot of experience in those areas.  Write me and I'll be happy to share.

Busty Boy,  ;)

well if u chose not to get surgery i don't think hiding it is the best route to go.  if you chose not to have surgery it should be because you are not concerend with it and could give a rats ass what people think.
