He told me it wasnt that ( which pissed me off cuz i know it is) and he said i have an inverted sternem and it sticks out more..w/e...when i flex i can pull on like fat and stuff from around my nipples which was the problem and im 150lbs 5'8 and a bodybuilder. anyways..i wasnt too happy because i said its takn over my life and i cant live with my chest like this and he really didnt give a f**k so now i dont know what to do..
i need a second opinion or somthing..and i know i need surgeory..i should wear medium shirts but it looks like i have boobs so i wear larges..sucks....thanks for reading i needed to vent some frustration. :'(

Just relax. You'll get your way. Perhaps use the internet to find an appropriate specialist, give them a call, explain that your primary care physician doesn't think its gynecomastia but you do, and ask them if they can refer you to another pcp who can, then, refer you back to the specialist. Maybe that might work. It takes a bit of time and patience to overcome beurocratic nonsense.

That said, if you are 17, it seems likely you are too young to consider surgery as often gynecomastia is self-limiting in men your age -- it lasts a few years, then subsides simply due to age and degree of maturation. There is no point in getting surgery if this is going to go away by itself, in another year or 3.

I'm speaking from experince by the way. I had gynecomastia for a few years, when I was in my teens. I don't remember exactly when, but i think it lasted from about age 13 to age 16. After that it was completely gone, and didn't resurface until I hit 55.

Hey man, contact a PS or a specialist. Some do free consultations. Get an opinion from an expert. GPs can be a**holes and some can be uncaring. You have had it for a few years and you are 17 years of age. Get your hormones/blood levels/estriodal levels checked as well by an endo. To be sure there are no problems with your body productions. Again, you are 17 and definetely almost full grown in your bone structure most likely or already are. You are not going to experience much of a difference most likely from 17 to 20. Maybe an inch or two in height tops and a little more hair. But, that factor is most likely not going to change your gyne. Don't wait like someone else said. Address your problems to the proper specialist and take care of your problem and enjoy life. I am not arguing against that person but, I hate people who say just wait and do nothing about it. You can't just sit around and wait for things to happen you have to fight for them to happen. I am the same age as you and have had gyne for 8 years if I would have waited like my doctor suggested I would never be at the point of having surgery within about a month. I can understand you hate gyne I hate mine everyday so go out there and find a way to crush it. I wish you the best of luck man and trust me go out and get an opinion from a specialist you will be glad you did something about it. Good luck and best wishes.

If you're 17 and have had gyne for a few years, then it's not just going to go away.  I've had gyne since I was 10.  Doctors told me to wait and it would go away.  Guess what?  I'm 18 now and I still have it.  The swelling has gone down (it hit a peak at age 13), but it's still very noticable and an ongoing problem for me.
