Hi, I consider my case of gyne as mild to medium.  I'm not overweight, but i can definitely see an excess of breast tissue/fat in my breasts.  I just turned 17 years old and I wanted to know if this condition could go away and the likelihood?  Thank you.

At 17 I'm guessing you've either finished or are near finishing puberty?  If so then no it's not going to go away.

  • I've had my final operation :)
As you are only 17 i am guessing you are not full matured...( Full chest hair and bear ..lol).....Give it time as your hormones will still be all over...your body will be growing rapidly until you  reach 21.....if it's still there in twelve months then worry ;)

Any more opinions? And is there any way I can check myself to see if I have it?  Thanks again.

Talk to your dad.  He probably experienced the same thing when he was your age and it would be logical for you to expect the same outcome as he had.

Since it does run in some families, (like mine) family history (Men in the families of both parents) can be helpful.

Keep in mind that Gynecomastia is very common and it is not a disease.
