It's so costly and a somewhat simple sounding procedure you'd think that it would be done just like that?? How come people are not satisfied with it sometimes, is it the surgeon that's the problem or the gyne being difficult?  ???
Life would be fine if it wasn't for gyne...

  • Wilma, grab the lotion, we're going to the beach!
I think most PS's and certainly the 3 I talked to will do free revision surgery.  Now you'll probably have to pay the facility fee and the fee for the anesthesiologist, but that should be it.

Revision surgery is sometimes necessary for several reasons: re-growth; not enough was removed; doc thought he'd remove only fat and didn't excise the gland. Anything's possible.  Some guys have personality conflicts with their docs and others simply have unrealistic expectations.

graham_ashe Is absolutely correct and his comments should be re-read several times by anyone considering surgery.

I suspect that unrealistic expectations is the major reason.

There is another reason which most people seem to be fearful of mentioning,  BDD.   These people should be seeing a Psychologist, not a Surgeon.
