Hi,
well, I have bout something called Korean Ginseng, it's Herbal and seems to increase testosterone + I have gynecomastia.
when I went to doctor 3 or 4 years ago I've been told that my testosterone level is below the standard, and that's what I've been told again last year, but this year they told me that my testosterone level is normal
but anyway I've got this herbal thing, and I'm not sure wheather I should take it or not? what will happen if I take them, when I have a standard level of testosterone?  :-/ and I'm going to be 18 soon

Email your hormones could well be in a state of flux still given your age, hence the increase in testosterone.

Neverthless you may want to keep an eye on it by having your hormones tested over the next few years.

If you develop any classic testosterone deficiency symptoms then you might need to consider having further investiagtions.

Symptoms can be found here

http://www.androids.org.uk/

But hopefully that wont happen.

thanx for the replies

well, gynecomastia can be one of the reasons that I think I still have a low level of testosterone.
but what I really want to know is that what happens if somebody who doesn't need to take testosterone pills, capsules and etc, takes them???

that isnt a testosterone pill and neither can you get any effective test pill, what it actually does (if it works) is help your body to produce more test, Ill go out on a limb and say i doubt this product will do you any harm to try.

I have the same problem and i am perscribed test why not try and see if you can get put on that? its going to make you feel alot better in ways you proably dont evn no at the mo.

My specialist says (although i doubt it) that by balancing the hormones the gyne should go on its own.

Seriously though when i had low test it was horrible i had low sex drive and worried about daft things now i feel more confident and very horny its alot better quality of life,
other wise try this ginseng or get some tribulus or somet and keep getting your test checked every few months as already recomended

Also about what can happen if you increase your test well that depends what level you increase it to but effects can be higher sex drive incresed aggression , muscle gain , weight gain and water retention. More hair growth and in some men baldness.

You are playing hormonal roulette every time you try such products.

Also I should warn people that Methltestosterone which still exists in the US as an over the counter testosterone pill is banned in Europe and most of the rest of the world because it is known to cause liver tumors :o

So make sure you steer clear of that one :o

AcTiVate and Rebound XT are two safe supplements that work together to lower estrogen and "activate" testosterone. Can be purchased on bodybuilding.com among other sites. No side effects to speak of in my case.

Sorry but that is rubbish.

Neither of these products have gone through medical trials to prove their efficacy in this setting or in fact any other setting.

Here is some info on this problem.
http://www.spicyedition.com/archive/hair-loss/a-closer-look-at-testosterone-deficiency--.html

That information is crap i'm afriad :-/

On the first line they manage to get the problem completely wrong and it gets worse therafter.

Testosterone deficiency is NOT just about the testicles not working!!!!!!

The testicles are able to work perfectly in many men with pituitary problems posts puberty (hypogonadotropic hypogonadism).

Testosterone deficiency can occur due to metabolic factors where the ratio of androgens to estrogens is poor, often due to elevations in SHBG or estradiol.

And strictly speaking hypogonadism isn't testosterone deficiency, rather it is androgen deficiency, we just use the term testosterone deficiency sometimes because it is easier for people to get their head around, but it isn't the name of the condition.

I say this because the definition of hypogonadism is a lack of testosterone and or its metabolites.

One very important androgen that is a metobolite of testosterone is dihydrotestosterone, otherwise known as DHT.   Men who cannot convert testosterone into DHT also have hypogonadism, but this has nothing to do with the function of the testicles but relates to genetic issues.

Also men who have other genetic problems can also have functional testicles where the problem and cause of hypogoandism lies elsewhere.

When copying information from the internet it is VERY important to get a credible up-to-date source.

Edit...Sorry if I sound a bit off, I don't mean to.

It is just that the internet is awash with questionable info and not all of it is as good as it might appear.
