hello all,

I'm wondering what those of you who have  had to undergo the procedure what has been said from your doctors as far as going into the sunlight with the scar exposed. I remember reading a pamphlet that mentioned to stay away from direct sunlight for 6 months after the operation... now I had the surgery 3 months ago, the areas have been healed up for months now and they way my incision was done was a small half moon underneath the navel as opposed to the other ways I've seen pictures and read about where the scars are much bigger and off near the armpit or ribcage or larger circles around the skin tissue in the chest...

The worry is that if I go out without my shirt on the scar will get all discoloured....

Anyone able to help me out on this one?

thanks again.
