I had excisiion + lypo with Dr. Cederna at the University of Michigan Hospital yesterday. He and the staff at the U were great every step of the way.

Just a few things i noticed about my surgery day.

I hated getting the IV. Needles have never bothered me but the IV made me REALLY nautious for a few minutes.

Everyone involved in the surgery came by and talked to me about exactly what they were going to do. Even though i know a ton about the procedure thanks to this site, it was still nice to hear it from the people that were going to be in the OR.

The anesthesiologist came by to give me "something to relax me before i go into the OR." All I remember after that is waking up in recovery.  THat was a really cool feeling for some reason. Things were over before they even started.

They gave me water, helped me get dressed, wheeled me to the bathroom, gave me some crackers and juice and wheeled me to my ride.

My throat is still pretty sore, and i'm already anxious to shower, but overall I'm in good shape.
