Hello,
it's been a month after my surgery, and my nipples are still puffy.

I really don't know if it's scar tissue or residual gland,
I've been reading and some people actually got rid of their scar tissue by massaging and squeezing. The problem is, what if what I'm massaging is actually gland? Wouldn't that actually make my gland bigger?

Should I keep massaging or should I just leave my nipples untouched?

Thank you!

This is something you should discuss with your surgeon, who is the only one who knows exactly what was done during your surgery.  Some of what you have may just be swelling.

One thing for sure -- at this stage, the more you massage and manipulate, the more swelling you will encourage.

Massage does not cause glandular tissue to grow. Massage will cause a more rapid maturation of scar tissue.
