Unlike most of the folks on here, I find a pullover type leisure or low impact sports bra to be perfectly adequate for daily wear and even for activities like mountain biking. I have accepted and enjoy my breasts and don't mind that they are somewhat obvious but I am still a bit bashful about wearing a bra that shows through my shirt. The pullovers don't have any hardware on the back and they lie flat under your clothes. I have been wearing Rhonda Shear Ahh bras almost exclusively for 4 or 5 years. I wear one nearly every day and having somebody notice my bra is the farthest thing from my mind.I like the hanes G795 bras , pretty much my go to for every day

Recently I picked up one of these in a thrift store and immediately ordered 2 more of them. This is my new favorite bra. For what it's worth, I wear an XL in the Rhonda Shear but need a 2XL in the Hanes for the same fit. I wear a 42C underwire. These aren't for everybody but they work for me. If you are much bigger than a C cup, you probably need a big girl bra. If you are coming to terms with the fact that you may need a bra, these are a great place to start. Cup sizing is not an issue and they are inexpensive. Nobody will know you are wearing it.

I have a Fruit of the Loom underwire I like a lot but don't wear it often because the strap adjusters are so big they show under a fleece vest. I mostly wear it for carpentry and yard work when I don't care who sees it.
My wife has a couple of these I borrow once in a while. We are fortunate that we can wear each other's bras and she is OK with it.

As somebody has noted elsewhere, most people either don't notice my boobs or they just don't care. When I do catch somebody whispering and sneaking furtive looks at my chest, it is always women. People with breasts notice other people's breasts. I find myself looking at women to see if I can tell what type of bra they are wearing, including TV actresses. I think on the whole, both men and women are tending to have larger breasts than they used to, probably due to prescription medications that are ending up in the water supply. Try watching some old Columbo or McMillan and Wife episodes and see how many of the women have large breasts. Now take a walk through Walmart and do the same thing. I usually spot a few men with gyno, usually because their breasts look like 2 puppies in a towsack. A bra of any kind will make them a lot less obvious. Try it, you won't go back.
It would be great to have a doctor recommend a bra. I can’t imagine a doctor outright advising a bra even if prompted with the question of do you recommend anything for comfort I’d suppose they’d say just due to being male that a compression vest or fitted under shirt to avoid offending with a bra. But that would be great lol. Be nice to go for my annual physical and my doctor write me a prescription for a 34c lolWhen you go, you could bring it up. Tell him/her that you would feel a lot better being supported and ask their opinion on wearing a bra. They may not want to suggest "wearing ladies undergarments" (even though I don't agree with that statement in the least) to try and not offend anyone, but would suggest it if you brought the topic up first. A compression vest just sounds like 100% no imho
Back when my wife and doctor told me to wear a bra l was relieved because for years l wore a bra when I was alone and single. It not only relieved my discomfort but also it felt so right. I don't mean in a kinky way, just a calm warm feeling. I was born with "pink brain" among other things, and I always have known that I was different.Well said Charlie, I can understand that on almost every level. I haven't mentioned wearing a bra to any of my family because they are so conservative, I know it would be a huuuuge no-no. But my wife doesn't mind and she understands my need, and my best friend knows and he was really understanding of it all and we are still best friends. I too have a pink brain, but I'm on a different forum for that....
Yes, I love wearing my bra! I like the support, but I also love the style and having a pretty bra on. I was never allowed to call anything a "man" wore pretty when I was growing up. I think every child wants the approval of their mom and dad, I know I did. But we are what we are and if wearing a bra makes me strange then call me strange because once you hear it all you'll know why I just call myself a carbon based life form.
I hope one day l can find the courage to share with you all who l am. Untill till then just know how much l value you all.

My only thing to add here is about breast exams. YouTube has some great videos on how to check yourself. I would also recommend asking your doctor about having a professional exam performed. That doesn't necessarily mean that you need a mammogram or ultrasound but, those would be helpful in establishing a baseline for future exams.
