hi all! i finally got the surgery for my puffy nipple gynecomastia done and it been 11 days since surgery. I'm wondering how long i need to wait before I can begin smoking again.

I won't lie.

I'm 19, and since my surgeon took that into account, he said I could smoke like the day after surgery.

It's true that it is sort of harmful and it will slow down the healing process by a tad, it just depends on how bad the surgery was. I.E, I didn't have any glands taken out, just lypo'd.

I doubt smoking would cause any harm, yes, it's true that the blood needs to travel to places it needs to heal and smoking would restrict that. But after asking a WELL qualified surgeon, he said it's fine as long as I don't over do it.

Sometimes people just follow what others say based on their morale. "SMOKING IS BAD DONT DO IT RAAWR." That's BS imo. Ask your doctor/surgeon, he/she will know what to do.
