I asked my doctor if I should stop taking pre-workout supplements before my general anesthesia surgery on the 7th and he said to just stop the day before. Is this dangerous?

It depends on what you're taking.  I recommend 2 weeks for most of my patients, particularly if they use any sort of "fat burners" or anti-inflammatory products, which may have an aspirin-like component, which could cause bleeding.  Also fish oil can contribute to bleeding.  Just stop 2 weeks out, and then you don't have to worry about it.

Good luck,

Make sure nothing contains "propriety blend" on the label, since you don't know what they're putting in the product if that's one of the ingredients.

It is impossible to answer your question. What are the specific supplements you are taking and what are their exact contents?
