Hey guys, So i finally had my surgery on June 22nd with Dr. fielding in Toronto. I have not yet seen my chest, but will be as soon as I can take of those ads at the one week mark. As for the Canadians on this forum, Canada day is a week and a half away. I don;t plan on getting completely hammered just because I don't want to risk falling on my chest or doing something stupid, however i was just wondering if I could have a few drinks?? I want to know if it will affect my healing in anyway possible. I will be exactly 8 or 9 days post op (depending on whether there is anything happening the night before Canada day) before the celebrations begin?

SO BOTTOM LINE? Can I drink??
Will the recovery of my gyno be a factor???
let me know thanks in advance guys!

Ask your doctor.
If you're on pain meds- no.
If you're not... I don't know. Ask your doctor.
Good luck!  ;D

Definitely ask your doc. But I have read that drinking slows the immune system... Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Drinking alcohol is discouraged after any surgical procedure, cosmetic or otherwise. The reasons are too numerous to rehash here, but one major concern is bleeding/hematomas due to blood thinning.
