I had surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago. I still have numbness in my chest with hardness. My chest tissue feels really hard. Is this swelling???? or should I be massaging my chest. PS has not given me any instructions to massage.

probably scar tissue is starting to from, is the most obvious thing post op, if you dont get any scar tissue then you should start worrying, and about the numbness i believe you had areola reduction which is a more complex procedure a little different than the usual lipo and excision, i hate this part too man, its a real long wait post op, but the thing is you'll be there eventually. how come your doc dint give you any instructions? who is your ps?

Its normal i think. my doc told me to massage every day. Nerve fibers are very susceptible to pressure so if you have swelling or hardness it will make you numb temporarily.
