My gyno is the same as many others have mentioned, mostly just puffy nipples. It looks almost completely normal when my nipple is hard though, with the exception of just to much fat. I can feel the gland underneath which is pretty big.

I've been tossing up whether get a consultation with a plastic surgeon...on one hand this is going to bother me personally the rest of my life, but on the other maybe no one will even care/notice. Part of me thinks that the surgeon won't even see anything wrong with it...but I think that's my emotions going stupid.

I feel for you guys with the proper full on gyno, because even this tiny little thing is still ruining my life.

Sorry no pictures.

Also a comment towards the attitude people have. I remember reading a post where someone mentioned that the captain of the football team had puffy nipples and he went everywhere without his shirt on. I think thats an odd point to make, I mean it's all well and good for him, he's captain, he has crap loads of confidence, friends, he's guaranteed to have girls like him no matter what. It's not the same for many of us who have been bullied all through high school (nothing even to do with gyno), they have such little confidence already, that something like this is just the final straw. They just can't accept it about themselves.

I would try exercising and weight lifting first and if that is not enough, then surgery would help.

Welcome to gyne.org, Matty V.

It's hard to give an opinion without pictures, however, you stated that gyne is something that's going to bother you personally the rest of your life.  You stated you have puffy nipples and that you can feel gland underneath.

To me, this says it all.  You have gyne and it bothers you.  You didn't say how old you are, but are you content to go through life always hesitant to take your shirt off in public?  If the answer is yes, then it's interfering with your ability to lead a normal life.  And if that's the case, I think you would be cheating yourself to go through life unhappy when you don't have to.  I think you should consider contacting an experienced gyne plastic surgeon and at least get their opinion.

And post some pics if you can.  Good luck.

Thank you raider. I'm 19 so this is a pretty big deal for me, i'm going to call up the doctor tommorow and get an appointment so hopefully I can get a referral to a plastic surgeon. I'll post pictures eventually, but you can notice it through my shirts, most of the time I just tried to ignore it and i'm sure people just assumed I was fat. But I don't think I could take my shirt off in front of a girl.

Thanks for the support.

It really depends on you.  A consultation with a plastic surgeon will present you information and gives you various options.  He will consider whether you are a good candidate or not, how the over all outcome will be.  Most men presents to us when they have had enough and want to seek a solution.  We are here to help in all aspects.

I see men who have gynecomastia and seek treatment because they want to seriosly date and this holds them back, or they are now young fathers have young kids and want to be able to swim with them instead of avoiding the pool and beach, or wanting to stop wearing layered cloths in the thick of summer.  There are many reason why one seeks correction. There is no right way or wrong way, just your way. So, do what you feel.
