I am 5 1/2 weeks post surgery.  Since surgery and even now, when I lift my arms slowly and try to extend them overhead up high i feel a slight painful, tightness feeling under the nipples and below almost as if the skin too tight feeling.  Is this from swelling?  Also, when arms raised overhead, I see many little pockets or round slighty painful little lumps that burn a little on rubbing them.  It almost looks like cellulite.  Is this little round pockets of swelling or scar tissue forming?  If tissue, too soon to message after 5 weeks?

Thanks.

I'm no doctor, but I don't think there is anything to worry about.

At 5 weeks I think I still had some tightness in raising my arms, but by 6-7 weeks I pretty much had full rotation back in my arms.

During months 2-6 I had hard marble-like lumps under my nipples that I massaged. I'm now at 7 months and the hard lumps have finally gone away.

I think you just need to give your chest time to heal.
