here are my two week post op pics of my unilateral exicsion and liposuction. I am extremely happy with the results so far... what do you think?
(i should also mention that I had my surgery covered by insurance and it was done by a 'general plastic surgeon'.. he does about two gyne surgeries a month)

haha im not sure i got really lucky though. I am insured with Kaiser Permanente. I dont think they are nationwide. They are the insurance company as well as the hospital chain. The doctor said a couple of years ago they had 4 requirements that you had to meet before being eligible to be covered for gyne surgery...
These requirements were:
the paitent must be 18 or under.
the paitient must be not obese.
the gynecomastia must have not grown in size in the last 12 months
and no history of marijuana use.

but now they dont use these requirements.. They just leave it up to the surgeon and the endo. But i dont think it would hurt to meet these requirements. Both the surgeon and endo seemed eager to help me and wanting to get the surgery done for me... and the surgeon said he does about 2 gyne surgeries a month so i think they approve a lot of people. i just got lucky i guess and im really happy with the results

Hey looking good!

I am also insured with Kaiser, and the most important condition that must be met was tenderness of the gland.

If it's tender, you get the surgery covered, if they are not tender, then you will not be covered.

great results!

Im insured with Kaiser also but I just turned 18 a few weeks ago.
I'm covered under my parents insurance so do you think it would still be a problem?

Just wondering, where are you located?

Also, any information about the whole tenderness thing would be great too.
