Title: Question for doctor Jacobs
Post by: bob123 on August 06, 2009, 09:43:14 PM
I had a gyno op 8 years ago, seems im left with alot of gland on left side still, and just had a hypertrophic scar revised by the British nhs but he left some of the scar in so nipple wouldnt fold and it still doesnt look great.Im considering going to a reputable gyno surgeon to get it sorted once and for all.The nipple with the revised scar is a diffrent shape to other, due to the origianl hypertrophic scar stratching nipple for all those years. my question is, is this a fairly simple thing to revise in general?

No, this is not a simple revision.  Scars can hypertrophy and distort adjacent tissue.  Sometimes the better part of valor is to treat with a steroid, such as kenalog, rather than trying revision after revision.

Why don't you post some close-up photos and perhaps we can evaluate you better.
