Title: Surgery in Austria
Post by: stevng on April 03, 2019, 10:45:11 AM
Does anyone have experience with surgery in Austria? There are surgeons in Vienna that do it but I am having trouble finding reliable reviews.

Hi Steve,

I am scheduled to have my surgery in April by Dr. Rejzek.
For all that are insured in Austria, after the initial consultation she will recommend you do an ultrasound which if it proves you have actual gland (and not just fat) your surgery will be free. There is a 3 month waiting period for local anesthesia (which I am getting) or 1 year for general anesthesia, that is if you want insurance to pay for it.
I believe Dr Rejzek will charge around EUR 1000 as her private fee, unless you want some unknown surgeon form the public hospital perform the surgery.

I will come back in April to share my experience.
