Running down the list of symptoms on the home page, I probably have, to some degree, about 90 percent of them, save for the fertility issue and the small balls. Mine are smaller than averge but not tiny (or less than, say 1 inch.) Does this rule me out, the fertility and near normal sized balls? Is it black and white? Could you have it partially? What test is done and by whom? An endocrinologist? Simple blood test?

Nick....

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. I'm about a 90% match to the symptom list. I have very small balls  :-/   (that's not easy to say on a public forum let me tell U.... :-[ ) and have never gotten a girl preggers. I'm purddy sure that I'm shoot'n blanks. Oh well, doesn't matter now anyhow. I'm 42, married, and the wife had her tubes tied many moons ago. The chances of me having kids now are slim to none.

My Step-Son has Kleinfelter Syndrome. He's quite the character let me tell ya!

Anyways, yeah, like thejuice mentioned, talk to your GP Dude. I'm sure he/she could arrange the tests for you. On the Kleinfelter Page it says that one guy at 21 years was in for a vasectomy and blood tests revealed XXY. So.... by the sounds of it, yes, a simple blood test would do the trick.

While I was reading the Kleinfelter Page, I saw this....

"at age 22 - was refused Armed forces entry, due to small testes and was presumed homosexual[/color]".

OMG! That's insane! Assuming a guys sexual orientation by size of his balls? I got small balls.... let me tell you, I am by no means a 'Homo'.....

Fuking military a$$holes..... Bastards.....  >:(

Could U imagine... signing up for the military and the recruting officer telling ya that you are a 'f@g' cuz U got small boyz.

"You're a f@g, next...."  Ouch! That would hurt.....  :-/

Something tells me I might have what is called the KS mosaic, a partial case. I can pregnate, have very high verbal skills, I'm 5 10, but I do have the long arms, wide hips, fat development and a few of the other issues, including gyno that might be KS. I wonder, though, how many of those symptoms are also symptoms of hypogonadism.

And regarding the small balls, how smallis very small? Mine are like 2", maybe a little larger, long. Is that KS "very small size"?

The best place to evaluate possible Klinefelter's Syndrome is with an endocrinogist.  You can find many Klinefelter's Syndrome Resources Here.  You can also listen to a video about how a patient used the internet to help learn and then get doctors to evaluate his Klinefelter's Syndrome here.  That movie is really amazing.

Hope this helps,

"I've noticed that many people seem to fall into 3 categories; 1) people who have true gyno and have suffered psychological from it.  2) people who suffer from psuedo-gyno (the majority) and suffered"

Just to concur with the correct comments of Dr Bermant.

If someone thinks they may have Klinefelter Syndrome then they should have a consultation with an endocrinologist who specialisies/has an interest in reproductive endocrinology.

A gp is not remotely qualified or able to diagnose such a condition.

If anyone here needs help in obtaining the contact details for endocrinologists just pm me your city and state and I will get you a list of the best people in your area.

ALL those below are listed by the AACE (American Association of Clinical Endocrinology) and ALL have stated an interest in reproductive endocrinology which is the relevant field.

If I were you I would pick out a few names listed and phone them and try to speak with them regarding your concerns and then pick out the one you feel most comfortable with and make a consultation.

In doing so pass on the details to your general physician.

If at any point you do not feel happy- go to the list and procure the services of someone that you do feel happy with.

I am in the UK and have hypogonadism and gynecomastia- which is why I am trying to help you as you are a fellow sufferer.

I do not have anything to do with these people being thousands of miles away and I cannot vouch for any of them, which is why you must use your own judgement.

Neverthless I hope this helps and wish you the very best!

Hypo, thanks for the extensive list. I'm curious: Is it common for a woman M.D. to examine a man for KS and hypogonadism? Anyone have any experince with this? Pros and cons?

Would it bother you if a Woman MD examined you for KS and Hypogonadism?
