Protein shakes are often pushed by nutrition stores as a safe method to build muscle.  The problem is that the ingredients in these nutritional supplements (considered as "food") are not regulated by any agency.  Sometimes, the ingredients may have hormonal properties - and you won't know until your breasts mysteriously begin to enlarge.

Be careful.

Sorry for the late reply, ducky. I don't believe I have ever taken protein shakes "in excess". But then again I'm not really sure what defines "in excess."

Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm currently on my winter break, and I told my parents about it. I also went and had a consultation with a plastic surgeon today. He confirmed that it is indeed gyno. I will most likely be getting surgery done this summer.
