Based on your photos, it does appear that you have a mild case of gynecomastia, and it's likely that the only way it will resolve is with surgical correction.  I don't now any surgeons up your way, but perhaps there is someone listed on the site.

Agree with Dr. Silverman.  Yes, you have gyne.  You are 17 and have had the condition for 2-3 years -- it is highly doubtful whether it will disappear spontaneously in the foreseeable future.

Do your homework and find n expert surgeon to help you -- although your gyne may seem "minor" it will demand the same expertise as a much larger procedure. If you do not have a gyne expert in your area, then consider traveling to some experts on the West coast, such as Dr Delgado in San Francisco.
