I didn't think I had much swelling, my dr. told me to remove the vest after 3 weeks so I did and things were fine( and are still great!!) but i just noticed that there appears to be some hard mass just under both sides of my chest and was wondering if swelling could still occur even a month after surgery?

surgery was Apr 30

Part of Mother Nature's rules of healing is that the area under the areolas tends to become very firm -- starting within a few weeks after surgery and continuing for one or more months, before it begins to soften again.

This is a normal, natural part of the healing process.

Relax and let your body heal.
