A fair number of men have gynecomastia on only one side.  Surgeons vary in how they run their practices and how they charge.  I do not charge as much if only one side is operated on - the surgeon's fee is less, as are the OR and anesthesia fees, since less time is required to do the job.

You are a very common case that i see, uni-lateral gynecomastia.  For some reason, it is most commonly on the left side.  You would have a very good result and it will certainly cost less.  Good luck

Yes, you certainly have much more tissue on the left -- but care must be taken to evaluate the right side as well.  If there is any amount of excess tissue on the right, it would be wise to operate on that side as well (only a doctor's examination can determine this).

Understand, operating only on the left side, when/if there is tissue on the right, is more difficult to "match" the right side.

It is my opinion that if there is any excess tissue on the "smaller" side, then both sides should be operated upon so that each side becomes the best it can possibly be.

Unilateral gynecomastia is less common than bilateral gynecomastia ,but it is not rare. The history in gynecomastia is always important but it is very important in unilateral cases. Your nipple on the right side in the photo looks a bit lateral compared to what is typically noted. Also I am not certain what  angle the photo has been taken nor am I certain about what position you are in at the time of the photo ( ie standing ,lying  down  ). In my practice there is a reduced fee for unilateral cases ,however sometimes the case is not unilateral but rather severe on one side and very moderate on the other.
