How long do I wear the post op vest?
Hey all...
So I'm on the other side now! Its almost day two after my surgery. I feel sore, but the best sore I've ever felt, lol. Just a quick question...
I have drains and a vest on. I get the drains taken out two days from now, but how long am I supposed to wear the vest? Just in general? Thanks!

I'm not a doctor but...

I wore the vest 4 weeks 24/7.  I'm now switching to nights only for 4-6 weeks.  My doctor actually said I only had to wear it 2 weeks though.

I had the drains out after 6 days. 

4 weeks 24/7 minimum right after surgery seems to be the general consensus around here, but it depends on many factors.  Ask your doctor.

For me, it's 3 weeks 24/7 and then 3 more weeks during the day or at night.
