Like the topic says, I finally got it done yesterday.  Had to stay overnight at the hospital because I'm from out of town.  Will be spending a few more days in Toronto by choice, just in case there are complications.

Overall the experience was great, except for the pain last night.  It finally subsided after I got a couple of regular tylenols from the nurse.

Now the recovery begins.

Congratulations dude! :D

Im going for a consult with Fielding next week. How much did you have to pay for the whole thing?
Were you put to sleep for the entire procedure or was it local anasthesia?

I paid $1900 because  I had a large amount of gland on me.  Fielding charges depending on the amount of work.

I was put to sleep for the whole thing by someone named Dr. Mcgregor.  He says hes going to count to three before I'll fall asleep. I swear I didn't even hear him say one.  The absolute worst part of the whole procedure was when I woke up afterwards.  Couldn't swallow at all.  I mean at all.  I was panicking, but theres a nurse watching over you as you come too and hes like don't worry everybody goes thru it. He couldn't give me water during this either for some reason.  After about 5 minutes it started to get better and then he got me a freezie.

ah i see. Was this Dr. McGregor an anasthesia expert? To tell u the truth i am worried about being put fully to sleep and hope an anasthesia expert will be present during this. But what i really hope for is not being put fully to sleep and just having local anasthesia so i am awake and not feel anytthing.

So Fielding charges depending on the amount of work? I have some gland in my right nipple and not much in the left....i think it is mostly a little bit of lipo and a little bit ox excision mostly on the right side. Plus ai am a student...do you think i should get a lot price because of this?

Also, will u be posting any pictures soon?

pictures not before I get back home. So next week some time.

Dr. McGregor introduced himself as the anesthesiologist so I'll take his word for it.  This is a real surgery and since you are being put under all the regular medical practices would apply.  So if it is regular practice to have the anesthesiologist in the room at all times I would assume he would be there at all times.

Initially I was a bit nervous about being put under as well, especially since none of my family knew I was going in for surgery.  But then you think about the thousands of surgeries that happen every day without problems, that nervousness fades.  Also what made it easier for me was that I have been put under before for a different surgery so it was easier for me to get over the jitters.

Good Luck man.

Thanks. I am glad to hear that there is a presence of anasthesia expert during the operation. However i will still try to find out if Fielding can do it with local anasthesia only.

just removed the foam pads and had my first look. All I can say is WOW!!!

That is unbelievable.  Its a shame its gonna swell back up before it gets better. If my final results are anywhere near what I got right now I'll be very happy.

For now, I can fly home a happy man.

right now its completely flat to my muscle which is cool.  I just went back and read brebguy and Give Me Life's posts and that was sobering and scary.  For now, I'll keep my fingers crossed and my chest compressed as much as possible.

yeah, I just took the pads off so there wouldn't be any explaining to do at the security check. I kept the vest on all days except for about 15 minutes. I took it of in the bathroom, went thru security, and then went straight to the bathroom and put it back on again.  Man that was long as wait/flight home.  Glad to be out of freezing Toronto and in foggy Vancouver.

So I see my dad today, he looks me up and down and the first thing he says is "you've lost weight".  I told him it just looks that way cause he hasn't seen me in a week.  But really though right now the difference with a dress shirt on is unreal. For the first time today I was able to grab the tightest dress shirt in my closet without feeling selfconcious.  Though I did keep my jacket on for a large part of the day to avoid comments like my dads. If too many people notice in one day they could start talking and figure something out.

Looked at your pics. Results look really good man. After some time healing it will look even better probably. It is funny how a little bit of tissue removed can make someone look so much different. One of the things i hate about gyne is when you have shirts on it kind of makes you look fatter than you really are, at least for me.
