About a month ago I sucked it up and went to my GP to ask him if I had gyne. After a 10-15sec evaluation of my chest he said I didn't and that my body was just "adjusting" to growth (I used to be fat but as I grew the fat kinda evened out). However, I am still unsure of if I have gyne; my nipples are on the puffy side but I do have a gut and am unsure of whether it is fat or not. I do remember around 2years ago feeling pain in my nipple area and  my nipples became larger and chest bigger, but that seems to be residing and my nipples have went from around dollar coin sized to smaller than quarter sized and the painful tissue seems to be gone. I do feel some form of lumpiness under my nipple but it is the same lumpiness I can feel in my upper chest and on my sides (which is fat). My theory is that I had a moderate case of gyne 2 years ago but it seems to be declining.

How does one know if their gyne is disappearing on its own? Are there any ways to tell if it is fat or what? What other medical specialist can I ask for their opinion beside my GP?

I have no camera ATM that works but my chest looks similar to this except slightly less pokey and I am not that skinny:

Thanks!

P.S. I also have a gut and I have been doing lifting/cardio for about 2weeks now since I joined a gym. I have noticed a slight reduction in the puffiness...slight.

EDIT: ***How would I go about making a consultation with a surgeon to discuss whether I have gyne or not. Will their opinions be biased (Seeing as they are surgeons they would diagnose gyne just to pressure surgery, assuming)? How would I make a consultation w.o my parents/what is the cost? I live IN NYC and if I would ever make a consultation it will be with Dr. Elliot Jacobs (seeing that he is well known for this condition).
