Hi guys

I'm one week post op and I feel great.  The compression vest is a pain in the butt, but it's worth it!  My surgery went great, and I had next to no bruising.  The doctor told me that there's still quite a bit of swelling and that it would take a good 3 months to get a better idea of what it would look like.  Do you guys have any advice on what I should do to make it heal faster?  Thanks in advance

I was told ice packs work best...Put a bag of frozen peas on your chest. That helps reduce swelling....Healing takes time, you can't speed up the process. Everyone heals at different rates...The scar tissue can take up to a year or more for it to breakdown...I am going in for a revision surgery. I had puffy nipple, when I got the surgery they were flat but I had the steristrips on. When the strips came off , they puffed out again. Let me know if this happens to you. Thanks

I never had puffy nipples to begin with, so I don't think that's an issue for me (at least I hope it won't be !!)

Dr. H. Ukani, in Vancouver (Port Moody, BC).  He's fairly young (into his early/mid 30's I think) but has got quite a reputation!
