Fairly new here and have been checking out many topics and pictures.  Finally got the nerve to post my own.

Is this plain and simple gyno, good part fat or lose skin?  I am older....64 yo, have lost 25 pounds over the last 9 months.....and like most hate it!

Not sure of the first step.  Did most of you guys first go to your GP or straight to a specialist?  If to a GP what did they have to say and did you find them sympathetic to this?  Did you have to go through lots of exams and physicals? Lots of questions.....my first available appointment is not far a month.

Would greatly appreciate some feed back for someone just finding out about this..what about my pictures, is the gynecomastia as bad as "I see it"?

Do compression garments help any?  Thanks for any input.

There are some of us older guys on here, but some of us have had this all our lives! I'm 55 and have never let it stopped me from having a full and happy life! 11 years total in the military, fathered 5 grandfather of 3 had my own construction company before I had to stop working due to disability.

Many of use in this older age group have come to accept the gynecomastia, and have found ways to be more comfortable then to hid them.  I mayself have grown to double Ds and couldn't hide them much anyway!

Compression garments may help, but in the end you may not feel like they are helping if they make you feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't really know for sure though as I never tried them.

Remember that, others do not notice your chest as much as you think they are! Most people are so self absorbed into their own problems and lives that most wouldn't notice if you were naked.

Hammer......thanks...you are right and I appreciate your indight  We do get so warped up in our own vision that we forget the whole picture.  I too need to look back and be thankful for my two children and now three grandchildren.

We will see, I may try the compression garments for awhile and then see.  I do have an appointment with my GP.....but that is still more than a month off.
