After examining me, my surgeon said that he will do gland excision on both sides and lipo on one side, the side that is bigger. I asked him why you didn't want to do lipo on the other side and he said there isn't any fat to take out on that side. Is it wrong to do lipo on just one side?

Also, he said you can't tell gyno from fat until he opens me up. Is this true?

I presume you did your homework in advance and used care in finding a well qualified surgeon. If that is true then you must trust him.

The Surgeon is part Doctor and part Sculptor; Would you question the methods of a Michaelangelo?

You body has a set number of fat cells. When you get lipo you remove these fat cells permanently. So if you get lipo on one side, then gain weight, you may only gain weight in the non lipo side.
