Hi Everyone.

I am a 21 years old, didn't know about gynecomastia until few months ago. I realized that I had gynecomastia when started working at a medical tourism company.

After I realized that, is when the research started. I help a medical team that comes to my country and kindly will give me a free surgery.

I have lots of questions my weight is 200 pounds and height 174 meters.

---> my question is, after removal of gynecomastia should I expect weight loss?

My understood is that they are mammary glands, therefor should affect somehow hormones that makes us gain weight?

My complexion is athletic and I have pseudo-gynecomastia, I want to remove them because my chest is pointy and my friends bother me cause they're all skinny.

Thanks in advance.

Warm Regards.

There is typically minimal weight loss after gynecomastia surgery, unless the breasts are huge, which is pretty rare.  You might be more motivated to lose weight after the surgery, so that's a source of weight loss--but it requires exercise and diet on your part to accomplish.  The removal of "breast tissue" has little if any impact on your hormones, so that isn't really a factor.

Good luck with the surgery.
